The Venue Sprawled over two storeys in Melbourne’s famed gastronomic destination, Flinders Lane, this new Saké venue is a super-luxe, high-energy addition to Melbourne’s CBD. The entry level of our two-storey venue at 121 Flinders Lane includes a dramatic dining counter combining a sushi bar and spectacular robatayaki grill, while the lower level features a light-filled, modern terrace to accommodate diners and flood the restaurant with natural light during the day a perfect spot for lunch – and a romantic and atmospheric setting for you to dine in the evening. The Menu The menu features dishes unique to our Flinders Lane venue, including Japanese staple yakitori, and the largest range of umeshu, sake and Japanese whisky of all our Saké venues Sake’s executive chef, makes the tofu, togarashi and furikake spice mix in house, plus the miso paste, which takes six months to make. The soy sauce and salts are house-smoked and the drinks list includes house-made shochu infusions, including jalapeño and lemon, shiso and cucumber and lemongrass and ginger. The Bar & Nightlife Saké Flinders Lane boasts the largest range of umeshu, sake and Japanese whisky of all our Saké venues. Downstairs plays host to a dedicated library housing 80 urns filled with traditional shochu. Saké Flinders Lane has become Melbourne’s newest late night hotspot, with a killer DJ line-up taking over the DJ booth in the downstairs dining area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
